hello, hope this is the right area, I am a canadian groomer with over 20 seasons of experience in Canada, New Zealand, Japan, and the U.S.. I am looking to head to to europe next season or even the upcoming summer glacier season. I am wondering if there is anyone out there that can point me in the right direction for a job. I have a eurpean passport, but my language skills will need some work

Hi Soren, which country do you prefer?
From which country is your passport? This is important, because with a passport from a country in the EU you can work every country in the EU.

Cheers

Axel

I guess he is Canadian. Well I also think that the working permission will be the biggest problem.

By the way, I move this topic to "Allgemeines" (general topics).

Hmm, he said that he has an european passport...but I agree with you, I think without a passport from the European Union you need a working permission.

But, he has a european passport, so the working permission shouldn't be such a problem. But I think the bigger problem is the language.
If you can't speak the official language perfectly, it might be very difficult to find an interesting job.

^^Thats true! Maybe he could combinate it with a language course.

According to their website, Diavolezza Bahn AG (near St. Moritz, Switzerland) is looking for groomers with at least limited experience (sry, but this information is only in German on their website):
Saisonstellen

Fahrer Pistenmaschinen
ca. 1.11.06 - 1.5.07

I'm not to worried about where at the moment, think it will all be pretty interesting. I guess I need to somehow check the native language versions of the resort websites as they don't seem to have employment pages in their english versions
