Gråkallen (NOR), 24.08.08

Nachdem heute einfach traumhaftes Wetter herrschte (Sonnenschein und bis zu 23°C), schnappten wir unsere Bikes und fuhren auf den Gråkallen, den prominentesten Gipfel der Bymarka, des Erholungsgebiets von Trondheim.
Wir nahmen die Tram vom Stadtzentrum nach Lian (219m) und bikten dann von dort aus auf Trails und etwas ashpaltierten Straßen auf den Gråkallen (552m).
Klar nicht die Megatour an sich, aber schon auf dem Weg wurden wir mit haufenweise Blaubeeren und am Gipfel schließlich mit einer grandiosen Aussicht auf Trondheim, den Fjord und Bymarka selbst belohnt. Nach einem BBQ ging es dann über enge und teils steile Trails auf anderem Wege retour.

Fazit: Grandioser Tag, wird ab sofort öfters wiederholt!Bymarka is Trondheim's recreational area directly next to the city and offers a great variety of activities. This sunday, Luka, Daniele, and I decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather (sunny, up to 23°C), get on our respective bikes and... ...take the tram up to Lianvatnet. Okay, so I guess we don't qualify as hardcore bikers but taking the tram up there is actually a good idea. That way we skipped the part of the journey that would have led through city area anyhow and start where it's nice already.
From Lian it's not very far to Skistua, a big cabin on the bottom of the main peak in Bymarka, Gråkallen at 552m. We went all the way up and were rewarded with a fantastic view over the whole city as well as a big part of the fjord. Up there we had a nice BBQ featuring pølse and engangsgrill (sausages and one way grill) as well as tomatoes, mushrooms, and pepper (to add some more value...). I guess the best things were the nice norwegian blueberries everywhere for the taking! After wandering around a little on the top and taking some pictures we got on the bikes again and did some quite challenging downhill biking on what definitely was definitely intended to be walked upon. But it was fun nonetheless!
Back in the city we went for some all you can eat cake and coffee at a place called Mormors (cheap beer, cosy ambience, and a small garden).

! Ich freu mich auf weitere Berichte von dir. Norwegen ist einfach wunderschön, wenn das Wetter passt.
