hello everyone abroad.my name is robert and im a huge vonroll type 101 fan.a fellow model builder petz posts all the time.he has helped me alot on the grips.i designed the entire ride .it includes 6 sets of vr 101 12 sheave roller batteries.im sorry i dont speak german,but my fellow model builder petz can translate.thanks and long live the vr 101...

I know your ropeway since a while and I must say It´s Great =) the Pylones and particularly the sheaves (The sheaves are the problem at my ropeway´s ( aktually an T-bar and an 3CLF))

thank you very much jochen.ive noticed out of all model makers,noone has tried the 12 sheave roller batteries.they are difficult to make and require a bit more maintance than a 8 sheave roller battery.do you need help on your lift?i can try and help you.ive been building model vr 101s since 1983.my model runs from 4pm to 9pm sun thru thursday.friday 4pm to 1am.sat 10am to 1am.lights are on the towers as well as the stations.happy modeling.

Hello Robert,
My Problems with the sheave rollers are the following:
I only have a limited stock of pices and roll´s.

The sheaves are a little bit big and i need ~1cm wide by a 4 sheave thats very much because i need at some pylones a 6 or 8 roll sheave.

I Think im a small master in chairs ,kabins and T-bar´s (but not the ropeway itself only the vehicles)

thank you jonas. .in the usa there isnt alot of model ropeway builders.i agree fully,there are ALOT of nice builders of model ropeways on alpinforum.as for sheave dimentions on my model vr101.in american standard in inches.ill do them in desimal dimentions for you. .290 wide. .750 tall. groove depth is .060.i manufacture all parts myself.im a machienest by trade.i sent a few of the sheaves i use to petz aka markus.

She is very well trained My daughter helps me out by checking all of the towers in the morning and she lets me know if something dont look right..She loves riding on Vonroll type 101s too!!!

I have 10 Gondolas with LEDs on them.Red ones..I need to get A santa and put him inside one of the Gondolas. There is Xmas lights running the entire span of the VonRoll.

Here is my protype CWA gondolas for my VR101.They are made from Pollystyryne plastic.Made by using a Vacuume former machiene.These are easy to make.Also,these are the 1st pull off the mold.If you need to figure out how I made these,Look on youtube ""Vacume former"". You must use a plastic paint to get the color you want.Ill be making 50 of these to overhaul my older gondolas.Ill be putting one together soon as im designing the interior with seats and of course the roof and the side pillars.

I noticed that too.On the CWA gondolas that run on the VR101 at the San Diego Zoo,They are A bit longer..

Hello Robert,

that's a very nice VR101 lift. I like this type of lifts too. Is the garaging in the mountain station electric??
How long die you need for the ropeway??
